How I work
Fast to ship, never a black box.
Hiring a developer should not feel like a gamble. Here is exactly how a project runs with me, from the first call to launch, organised the way good software teams work.
Broken down clearly
Epics to Stories to Tasks, so scope is never a vague blob. You see how each piece of work ladders up to a real outcome.
Visible on a Kanban board
A shared board shows what is in progress, in review, and done. Full transparency, no status-meeting theatre.
Daily yesterday / today / next
Every working day: what got done, what I am doing now, what is coming. Async by default, a call whenever you want one.
From first call to launch
Eight steps, every project. No mystery, no surprises.
- 01
Discovery & planning
A call to understand the real problem, the users, and the outcome you need. I map scope, risks, and the fastest path to value before quoting a fixed price.
- 02
Design & wireframing
We agree the structure and key screens as wireframes first, so we shape the flow cheaply before any pixels or code. I work from your designs, or produce clean ones if you need them.
- 03
Choosing the right stack
I pick technology for your project, not my comfort zone: the right framework, database, and hosting for your scale, budget, and timeline. No over-engineering, no trend-chasing.
- 04
Epics, Stories & Tasks
Work is broken down into Epics (big outcomes), Stories (user-facing slices), and Tasks (the actual units of work). You always know what maps to what, and why.
- 05
A Kanban board
Everything lives on a shared Kanban board: Backlog, To do, In progress, Review, Done. You can see exactly what is happening and what is next, any time, without asking.
- 06
Iterative milestones
We build in small milestones, each a working, reviewable slice on a live URL, so progress is real and course-correcting is cheap. No big-bang reveal at the end.
- 07
Daily progress updates
A short daily update by message or call: what I finished yesterday, what I am on today, and what is next. You are never in the dark, and never chasing me.
- 08
Test, feedback & deploy
Features ship with tests. You review each slice, we iterate on feedback, and I deploy to fast global infrastructure, then hand over docs so your team can run with it.

What makes it different
The parts clients remember
Fixed scope, no surprises
We agree the price and the plan up front. If scope changes, we talk about it before anything moves.
You always have a live URL
No hidden progress. From week one you can click through the real thing, on your phone, whenever you want.
Tested, not hoped
Features ship with the tests that keep them working, so you are not paying to fix the same bug twice.
You own everything
Clean, standard, documented code in your repository. No lock-in, no framework only I can maintain.
Direct and async-friendly
You talk to the person doing the work. Clear written updates across time zones, no account-manager telephone.
Built to hand over
Docs, a walkthrough, and a codebase your team can pick up. The goal is your independence, not my retainer.
Available for new work
Ready when you are.
Tell me about your project and I will map the first step. No pressure, no obligation.
